The room was spacious and cleaned daily. We could easily reach the owner, Ali, through Whatsapp and she was always helpful. Her sister was equally friendly and provided assistance when Ali was not around. They both spoke excellent English and gave us great recommendations. the location was perfect for visiting Angkor, with safe bike rentals available. There were also several restaurants nearby, including a local one where we enjoyed delicious food at a very affordable price. we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Alis' House to anyone visiting Cambodia. Cons: Liked everything! 😄.

Exceptionally Clean and Excellent Value!
In general: This is a simple hostel with a few family style rooms and several dormitory style rooms. The property is well taken care of and in excellent condition. Wi-Fi is included with the stay and worked everywhere on the property. They had cold soft drinks, but no restaurant on the property. Location and surroundings: While I didn't mind walking to Pub Street and the Night Market, I think other guests preferred to ride a bicycle or take a tuk tuk. The hostel is very close to Angkor Wat, making it easy to arrive at the temple for the sunrise. There are many shops, restaurants, and bars within walking distance but I liked that the neighborhood itself is quiet and safe. Service: The staff is very friendly and helpful. The owner speaks excellent English and French. Other staff members were fluent in English. Dining: The hostel doesn't offer on-site dining yet. There were many local places on the street and of course many places to eat at Pub Street or the Palm Container Market. Room: The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Every room is air conditioned! Even in the dorm rooms. No arguments with the roommates about turning on the A/C or the fan. The stay was so much more comfortable with air conditioning. And the showers are all hot showers. I think many of the hostels offer only cold water showers. Useful tips: They had some bicycles available to rent and it was convenient for some friends to stop by and park their motorcycles on the property while we visited on the patio.

During our one and a half month trip through Vietnam and Cambodia, Alis' House was by far the best accommodation we had. The owners were nice and friendly, speaking excellent English and allowing us to check in early. The room was clean with daily cleaning, and the location was great, just a short walk to the city center and a bicycle ride away from Angkor Wat. All of this at a fair price.
I do recommend this hotel.

We had an amazing New Year's experience at this hotel! The staff was outstanding, always available and quick to respond. They even helped us arrange a tuk tuk pickup at the airport. The room was spacious and clean, especially the lovely bathroom. The location was perfect, just a short tuk tuk ride away from the main attractions, and there were great restaurants within walking distance. We also appreciated the convenience of being able to purchase soft drinks at the reception and having an ATM nearby.
Although our overall experience was fantastic, we did notice some cleanliness issues. The table in our room didn't seem to have been properly cleaned, and we had doubts about the sheets and towels.
